In &#8220;<span class=\"yKMVIe\" role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"1\">The Very Pulse of the Machine<\/span>&#8221; an astronaut whose vehicle crashes has to walk for miles dragging her dead colleague behind her. In &#8220;Swarm&#8221; two human scientists find out that some ancient alien creatures have more to them than it initially seems.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the animation and music are splendid. And as always, there are a couple of horror episodes &#8212; I might not watch those ones again, but they are well done.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s some humour, but on the whole these are dark and disturbing stories.<\/p>\n<p>Some episodes end abruptly &#8212; pretty much inevitable for stories that are typically 10 to 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Stars the voices of Gary Anthony Williams, Craig Ferguson, Seth Green, and Rosario Dawson.<\/p>\n<p>Authors include John Scalzi, Michael Swanwick, and Bruce Sterling.
