Star Trek: Year Five — Odyssey’s End<\/strong> by Jackson Landing & Collin Kelly, Brandon Easton, and Jody Holiser, published in 2020<\/p>\n Captain James T. Kirk and the Enterprise are using new technology to contain the results of a hypernova when they receive a distress signal from Tholians. They respond, but find all Tholians but one dead on the planet they encounter. They beam up with the last Tholian, a child. A Tholian ship enters orbit and starts making demands. Meanwhile, Kirk has been informed of his upcoming promotion to admiral — he’s just not sure who he’ll be if he’s not captain of the Enterprise.<\/p>\n It’s a great story set during the 5th year of the 5-year mission, with a return to Sigma Iota II (from “A Piece of the Action”).<\/p>\n It’s about protecting someone who might think they’re your enemy, democratic principles, and communicating with people who might be able to hear your thoughts.<\/p>\n With recognizable characters and some beautiful panels, the artwork is some of the better Star Trek<\/strong> comic book artwork.
