Initially he doesn&#8217;t want to go to his 10-year high school reunion, but his assistant Marcella and psychiatrist Dr. Oatman convince him to go. While he&#8217;s in the neighbourhood, he&#8217;s supposed to kill someone. He also wants to get together with Debi, whom he stood up on prom night but is still obsessed about. Grocer, an acquaintance of Martin&#8217;s who is also a professional killer, wants him to join his union and he&#8217;s not happy when he refuses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grosse Pointe Blank<\/strong> was released in 1997.<\/p>\n<p>This is a very funny movie. The Cusack siblings and Minnie Driver are particularly hilarious. There are also some funny people at the high school reunion.<\/p>\n<p>Grosse Pointe is the name of the town and Blank is Martin&#8217;s last name.<\/p>\n<p>The soundtrack is filled with great songs from the 1980s, which is when Martin and Debi went to high school.<\/p>\n<p>John Cusack (<strong>Being John Malkovich<\/strong><strong><\/strong>) plays Martin and Minnie Driver (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2012\/05\/barneys-version\/\"><strong>Barney&#8217;s Version<\/strong><\/a><strong><\/strong>) plays Debi. Joan Cusack (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2012\/11\/arlington-road\/\"><strong>Arlington Road<\/strong><\/a>) plays Marcella and Alan Arkin (<strong>Little Miss Sunshine<\/strong>) plays Dr. Oatman.
