A man&#8217;s dog digs up a coffin, and the man in the coffin comes out and kills the man and his friend. A private detective is looking for Watts, but only Inspector Brackenreid knows where he&#8217;s gone and he&#8217;s not saying. Watts is actually in New York, and he gets drawn into a robbery at his neighbour&#8217;s. Brackenreid tracks down Mrs. Hart&#8217;s father&#8217;s coffin and finds that it&#8217;s empty.<\/p>\n<p>William and Julia run into Llewelyn Watts in an unexpected place &#8212; a Mennonite colony.<\/p>\n<p>Our heroes meet Rudyard Kipling, Edith Wharton, Lucy Maud Montgomery (again), and Edgar Rice Burroughs.<\/p>\n<p>One episode is in black and white, just for fun &#8212; it&#8217;s a bit more melodramatic than usual.<\/p>\n<p>Roger Cross plays Maurice Majors, Violet Hart&#8217;s father.<\/p>\n<p>I previously reviewed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2022\/04\/murdoch-mysteries-season-15\/\">season 15<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{5\/5} &#8220;The only way out of darkness is to bring the truth to light.&#8221; &#8212; Murdoch Murdoch Mysteries season 16, aired in 2022-23 George leaves Effie at the altar, because of a premonition from one of his aunts.
