The Suicide Squad<\/strong>, released in 2021<\/p>\n The Suicide Squad is on a mission they don’t know anything about, when it turns out the Weasel can’t swim and he drowns. Then it turns out that Blackguard has sold them out — but the people he sold out to kill him anyway. Things are going downhill fast, and Savant decides to retreat — but when you’re on the Suicide Squad, retreat is not an option. Little do they know, there’s a second squad whose job is actually to complete the mission and not just be a decoy.<\/p>\n It doesn’t continue from Suicide Squad<\/strong> but is a soft reboot, with a few of the same characters.<\/p>\n It’s about people who do their government’s bidding in return for time out of prison, some of whom do exactly what they’re asked and some of whom think for themselves.<\/p>\n There is some humour, and some nice moments between the characters, amidst the carnage.<\/p>\n I liked a lot of this movie, but the gruesomeness is over the top. I’m lowering my rating because of the number of times I looked away from the screen.<\/p>\n Taika Waititi and Nathan Fillion have small parts.<\/p>\n Stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, and Viola Davis.
