She used to win at poker but the boss at one casino learned of her skill, stopped her from playing, and hired her as a cocktail waitress. The new boss, the old boss’s son, hires her to take down a high roller — this time she will be rich. Meanwhile, her closest friend has been killed, ostensibly by her husband — but she knows something is off.<\/p>\n She ends up investigating a murder in each episode. There are plenty of moments of levity.<\/p>\n The best moment is when she wakes up on a picnic table and there’s a buzzard on it.<\/p>\n The way that they show the same scene later when you have more information about what led to it is brilliant.<\/p>\n There are lots of amazing guest stars including Adrien Brody, John Ratzenberger, Chlo\u00eb Sevigny, Judith Light<\/span>, S.
