Czerneda, published in 2022<\/p>\n<p>Aliens, the Kmet, had appeared above New Earth some time ago &#8212; but they stayed above and never came down to the planet. Henry was Arbiter, the human liaison to the Kmet. When a probe arrives from a sleeper ship New Earth sent out centuries ago, Henry wants to use the Kmet&#8217;s Portal to investigate. But the Kmet don&#8217;t believe New Earth ever had the ability to send out ships, and convincing them might be difficult.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t read any of Czerneda&#8217;s books you could start with this one, a standalone.<\/p>\n<p>All science fiction fans will want to read this novel, with its imaginative situations and memorable characters.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about communicating with beings for years who are so different you might not understand them.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 13th novel of Czerneda&#8217;s I&#8217;ve read.
