Fry is accidentally frozen for 1000 years. He tracks down one of his descendants, an old man named Hubert J. Farnsworth who has a delivery service — they deliver things using a space ship. Bender, a robot, becomes Fry’s best friend. And Leela, a woman with one eye, joins them on their adventures. When their first delivery is to the Moon, Fry finds that it’s much different than in his day — there’s a big amusement park there.

It’s very funny, and often very clever.

There’s some silliness, but the silliness is funny because you like the characters. For example, when Bender is exposed to a magnet he loses his inhibitions are starts singing folk songs.

There are lots of sight gags. For example, “Objects in mirror are less attractive than they appear.”

Like Lower Decks, there are some unfunny moments. For example, when everyone is kicking Fry at the end of “My Three Suns.”

My favourite character is Bender.

The delightful theme by Christopher Tyng will always put a smile on your face.

In “Love’s Labours Lost in Space” Leela meets Zapp Brannigan, an arrogant and not-so-smart captain. “A Big Piece of Garbage” has a nice environmental message. In “When Aliens Attack” Lrrr from Omicron Persei 8 attacks Earth and demands that he see a TV episode from 1000 years ago.
