You want to escape, right? That&#8217;s very sane, that&#8217;s very sane.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Twelve Monkeys<\/strong>, released in 1995<\/p>\n<p>Cole is a prisoner underground. He does a good job collecting samples from the surface when he is volunteered. The people in charge then trust him with a more complex task &#8212; go back in time to gather more information about the virus that killed millions. In 1990 Kathryn is a psychiatrist who comes across Cole in jail and tries to help him.<\/p>\n<p>As a fan of time travel and a fan of Terry Gilliam, this movie is right up my alley.<\/p>\n<p>The future has a terrific look to it &#8212; very mechanical, with lots of wires.<\/p>\n<p>The parts with Jeffrey in the mental institution are very funny. The part where James believes he&#8217;s mentally ill and Kathryn believes he&#8217;s from the future is brilliant.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a masterpiece.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Plummer, Frank Gorshin, and David Morse have small parts.<\/p>\n<p>Stars Bruce Willis, Madeleine Stowe, and Brad Pitt. Directed by Terry Gilliam (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2019\/07\/the-man-who-killed-don-quixote\/\"><strong>The Man Who Killed Don Quixote<\/strong><\/a>).
