Alon Ghemor, the castellan and Garak&#8217;s friend, is committed to doing things democratically but it&#8217;s not easy.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about dealing with people who want to blow things up.<\/p>\n<p>Keiko, Garak, Miles and Gul Macet are featured &#8212; as well as novel characters Alon Ghemor and Vedek Yevir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andor: Paradigm<\/strong> by Heather Jarman &#8212; Shar returns to Andor to help his mother, whose political position is at risk. Prynn Tenmei, his close friend on DS9, goes with him. While they are there, Shar&#8217;s mother is kidnapped.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about being true to yourself, and the situation on Andor where their society knows that it will die within generations.<\/p>\n<p>Novel characters Shar, Prynn, and Vretha are featured.<\/p>\n<p>The Andorians are an interesting people, with much of their society invested in the marriage of 4 people to produce offspring.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first in a miniseries where each book contains 2 short novels. It fits perfectly into the ongoing story of <strong>Deep Space Nine<\/strong> at this point.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve read 10 books by McCormack. I previously reviewed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2022\/03\/star-trek-discovery-wonderlands\/\"><strong>Star Trek: Discovery \u2014 Wonderlands<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve read 2 books by Jarman.
