We&#8217;ll probably have some explaining to do to that new temporal investigation agency when we get back.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Star Trek: The Rings of Time<\/strong> by Greg Cox, published in 2012<\/p>\n<p>Captain Kirk and the Enterprise head to Klondike VI because the governor reported the planet&#8217;s rings are destabilizing. Not only is the colony being bombarded with material from the rings, but there is a comet heading straight for them.<\/p>\n<p>Two hundred and fifty years ago, Colonel Shaun Christopher flew the first crewed ship to Saturn. There they discovered that the rings are unexpectedly collapsing inward.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s another time travel adventure for history&#8217;s most frequent time traveller, James T. Kirk.<\/p>\n<p>Both storylines are lots of fun.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 15th book I&#8217;ve read by Cox. I previously reviewed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2022\/08\/star-trek-a-contest-of-principles\/\"><strong>Star Trek: A Contest of Principles<\/strong><\/a>.
