Jack believes that it&#8217;s just an island where strange things happen\u00a0and they should go home. A boat has arrived near the island but there&#8217;s some disagreement about whether the people on it are there to help the castaways or hurt them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lost<\/strong> season 4 originally aired in 2008. It&#8217;s a shorter season, with only 14 episodes.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to flashbacks are are now flashforwards. Of course, we&#8217;re initially not sure how far in the future these flashforwards are. But what happens in them is fairly surprising.<\/p>\n<p>It seems like the writers knew what they were doing all along &#8212; the story is gradually revealed and things fit together very cleverly. There is at least one surprise every episode.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a bit of general repetition, with people running from place to place on the island, people being captured, people being beat up, and people making deals &#8212; but the ongoing story is so interesting that this doesn&#8217;t matter.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Forbes (the TV show <strong>Battlestar Galactica<\/strong>) guest stars in one episode. Alan Dale (the TV show <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2012\/05\/once-upon-a-time-season-1\/\"><strong>Once Upon a Time<\/strong><\/a>) shows up a few times as Charles Widmore. Sonya Walger (the TV show <strong>FlashForward<\/strong>) plays Penny, Desmond&#8217;s girlfriend and Charles&#8217;s daughter.<\/p>\n<p>I previously reviewed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/02\/lost-season-3\/\">season 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{5\/5} &#8220;Never say never, dude.&#8221; Locke believes that the island is a place of miracles and the castaways should stay.
