Companion<\/strong>, released in 2025<\/p>\n Josh and Iris are visiting friends at a secluded house. They have a fun evening, but in the morning a disaster happens. When Sergei, the owner of the house, tries to force himself on Iris she ends up killing him. Now Josh has to tell Iris the truth about herself — she’s a robot. At first she doesn’t believe him but he convinces her. She thought they met at a grocery store but that didn’t actually happen.<\/p>\n One surprising thing is revealed right away, but there are other surprises. The theme has been done before, in movies like Ex Machina<\/strong>, but it had enough twists and turns to keep me interested.<\/p>\n The scene with the police officer is delightful, at least the first part. There were a couple of gruesome parts I didn’t watch too closely.<\/p>\n Stars Sophie Thatcher, Jack Quaid, Rupert Friend, and Harvey Guill\u00e9n.
