Ritter writes letters which are published in Germany, and other people come to the island &#8212; although Ritter doesn&#8217;t particularly want them to. Heinz is the first &#8212; he brings his wife and his son, who is not well. Life on the island is tough, but Ritter and Dore have made the best of it. Then a baroness arrives.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about people living in a nice-looking but difficult place, trying to survive and perhaps thrive &#8212; some of whom are prepared to work against the others.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about people who are ruthless, in various ways.<\/p>\n<p>It has a bit of a <strong>Mosquito Coast<\/strong> flavour to it.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s based on a true story, although &#8212; as the movie points out at the end &#8212; the people who wrote about it disagreed about what happened.<\/p>\n<p>Stars Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Daniel Br\u00fchl, and Sydney Sweeney.
