Dodge works in insurance &#8212; of course, most people aren&#8217;t coming in to work anymore, which means there are some opportunities in upper management. He&#8217;s not sure what to do &#8212; he doesn&#8217;t really want to party with his friends. Then he gets the idea to seek out his high school sweetheart. His neighbour Penny is coming along &#8212; Dodge has an idea how to get her on a plane so she can be with her family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seeking a Friend for the End of the World<\/strong> was released in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>What would you do if you knew the world would be destroyed in 3 weeks? The question has been asked before, but this story is worth being told.<\/p>\n<p>It starts out as a comedy and eventually switches to more of a drama &#8212; with a romance, of course.<\/p>\n<p>There are lots of great songs on the soundtrack.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Carell (<strong>Little Miss Sunshine<\/strong>) plays Dodge and Keira Knightley (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/01\/pride-and-prejudice\/\"><strong>Pride and Prejudice<\/strong><\/a>) plays Penny. Melanie Lynskey (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2012\/07\/win-win\/\"><strong>Win Win<\/strong><\/a>), Rob Corddry (the TV show <strong>The Daily Show<\/strong>), and Jim O&#8217;Heir (the TV show <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2012\/12\/parks-and-recreation-season-1\/\"><strong>Parks and Recreation<\/strong><\/a>) have small roles.
