I&#8217;m a bargaining chip.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elio<\/strong>, released in 2025<\/p>\n<p>Elio&#8217;s parents died and he lives with his aunt Olga, who&#8217;s always busy with work. Elio goes to the beach and writes a giant &#8220;Aliens! abduct me!!!&#8221; message. When Voyager&#8217;s message is sent back to Earth, Elio, having snuck into a garbage can, manages to send a reply. Olga still doesn&#8217;t think aliens are actually coming, but Elio is very excited. Elio is taken up to a ship where Ooooo, a liquid supercomputer, introduces him to the Communiverse.<\/p>\n<p>This is an animated movie, with interesting visuals.<\/p>\n<p>It is often amusing, and has a nice message about being true to yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Directed by Adrian Molina (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2018\/02\/coco\/\"><strong>Coco<\/strong><\/a>), Madeline Sharafian (story lead on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2022\/04\/turning-red\/\"><strong>Turning Red<\/strong><\/a>), and Domee Shi (writer on <strong>Turning Red<\/strong>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{4.5\/5} &#8220;Hi Dad.
