British. I do everything with a British accent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>An actor who hasn&#8217;t been getting many roles lately is considering accepting a role in an independent movie. He would be playing a grocery store manager, so he visits a grocery store to do research. While there he meets Scarlet, a smart and funny young woman working as a clerk. When it&#8217;s time to leave, the actor doesn&#8217;t have a way of getting home so Scarlet gives him a ride &#8212; but she has things to do first. Scarlet has an interview for a secretarial position, so the actor\u00a0attempts to help her out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10 Items or Less<\/strong> was released in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about two people from different walks of life forming a connection, in the vein of <strong>Lost in Translation<\/strong>. It&#8217;s a nice little movie that takes place all in one day.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/03\/seeking-a-friend-for-the-end-of-the-world\/\"><strong>Seeking a Friend for the End of the World<\/strong><\/a> (the movie I watched yesterday) I didn&#8217;t see this one as a romance. It&#8217;s a comedy with a bit of seriousness.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Freeman as the actor\u00a0is hilarious &#8212; he talks to everyone, because he&#8217;s a &#8220;connector&#8221; as he puts it. He looks at everything as if it were in a movie. He&#8217;s also very observant.<\/p>\n<p>Keep watching during the credits.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Freeman (<strong>Driving Miss Daisy<\/strong>) plays the actor and Paz Vega (<strong>Spanglish<\/strong>) plays Scarlet. Jim Parsons (the TV show <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2012\/05\/the-big-bang-theory-seasons-1-5\/\"><strong>The Big Bang Theory<\/strong><\/a>), Jonah Hill (<strong>How to Train Your Dragon<\/strong>), and Kumar Pallana (<strong>The Terminal<\/strong>) have small roles.<\/p>\n<p>The movie was directed by Brad Silberling (<strong>City of Angels<\/strong>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{4.5\/5} &#8220;You know what I like to do sometimes when I&#8217;m feeling stale, you know, and\u00a0I need to come at the work fresh?
