Niska is in Berlin, and she decides to release the code that allows other synths to become conscious. A few synths here and there become free — they make their way to Leo and Max. Mia works in a restaurant, pretending to be a basic synth. Laura and Joe have moved to a new house with the kids — then Joe finds out he’s been replaced at work by a synth.<\/p>\n

The show covers familiar ground, but it does it very well.<\/p>\n

The story builds to a startling conclusion in the season finale.<\/p>\n
