It seems that the previous inhabitants abandoned it. When one crewmember calls for help on their communicators, they rush to his location.<\/p>\n<p>Sulu is in command of the Enterprise, and he&#8217;s taking Dr. McCoy to deliver urgently needed medical supplies. The ship runs into a spatial distortion and everyone is thrown around. One person falls, but not from the distortion &#8212; he&#8217;s brought to sickbay and McCoy is stunned to find out he&#8217;s dying.<\/p>\n<p>This book is about investigating an alien mystery and a medical mystery, first contact, and thinking about your life&#8217;s choices.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about a person who&#8217;s been running away feeling like they belong.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 1st book I&#8217;ve read by either of these authors, but they had 2 stories in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2024\/11\/star-trek-tng-the-skys-the-limit\/\"><strong>Star Trek: The Next Generation \u2014 The Sky\u2019s the Limit<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{4.5\/5} &#8220;The doctor thought about it for a moment.
