Every bride feels that way on their wedding day.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monsters vs. Aliens<\/strong>, released in 2009<\/p>\n<p>Susan is just about to get married when she&#8217;s hit by a meterorite that causes her to become gigantic. She&#8217;s whisked off by the government to a top-secret location. She is startled at the monsters who live there. A general tells her that she&#8217;s now called Ginormica and she can&#8217;t leave. When a robot comes down from space and isn&#8217;t friendly, the general tells the President that monsters are the answer.<\/p>\n<p>This movie is lots of fun.<\/p>\n<p>It is, of course, partly about how beings who look like monsters might not be monsters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a fair amount of mayhem near the end but that&#8217;s true of lots of animated movies.<\/p>\n<p>Stars Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, and Will Arnett. Directed by Rob Letterman (<strong>Shark Tale<\/strong>) and Conrad Vernon (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2023\/08\/shrek-2\/\"><strong>Shrek 2<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>This is the 2nd time I&#8217;ve watched it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{4.5\/5} &#8220;&#8216;I think I just got hit by a meteorite.&#8217; &#8216;Oh, Susan.
