Star Trek: Starfleet Academy<\/strong> season 1, aired in 2026<\/p>\n Nahla separated a mother and child when the mother broke the law. She was under orders but she decided those orders were wrong — and she resigned from Starfleet. Now, 15 years later, Starfleet is different — Admiral Vance is able to convince her to become the Chancellor of the brand new Starfleet Academy. She manages to find the child, and she will do whatever it takes to find his mother.<\/p>\n The new characters are delightful, and the show is funny.<\/p>\n When Jett Reno is in command, her command to go to warp is brilliant: “Show me pretty streaks of light!<\/span>”<\/p>\n Jeff Russo wrote the theme — it’s great to listen to but you might have trouble humming it afterwards. He also provides the music, with hints to James Horner and Jerry Goldsmith.<\/p>\n In “Series Acclimation Mil” SAM investigates the disappearance of Benjamin Sisko hundreds of years ago — and in the process finds a hologram of Jake Sisko. In “The Life of the Stars” the Doctor reveals that he had a child who died 800 years ago, and that’s why he doesn’t allow himself to get close to anyone. In “300th Night” Caleb has to choose between his mother and Starfleet. In “Rubincon” Nus Braka has placed mines around the Federation that contain the Omega 47 he stole — and the Athena is the only ship on the outside.<\/p>\n Oded Fehr, Tig Notaro, and Mary Wiseman reprise their roles from Discovery<\/strong>. Robert Picardo reprises his role from Voyager<\/strong> — of course, he’s still alive hundreds of years later. And Cirroc Lofton reprises his role from DS9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Tatiana Maslany and Paul Giamatti guest star here and there.
