Prey<\/strong>, released in 2022<\/p>\n In 1719 Naru is a Comanche girl who knows about herbs for healing but she also wants to hunt. She’s very skilled with axe throwing, and has a faithful dog, Sarii. She even invents a new technique, tying a rope to an axe so she can get it back quicker. They almost catch a deer in the forest but get distracted. A predator has arrived, one unlike any she has imagined.<\/p>\n I wasn’t expecting to watch any Predator<\/strong> movies after the first one, and was startled to find how amazing this one is many years later.<\/p>\n It was beautifully filmed, both day and night scenes.<\/p>\n There are some intense parts.<\/p>\n The solution is clever, and makes sense based on what we know.<\/p>\n I liked how the indigenous people were portrayed — they’re just normal people doing their normal things.<\/p>\n It was filmed in Alberta.<\/p>\n Stars Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, and Dane DiLiegro.
