Summer Time Machine Blues<\/strong>, released in 2005<\/p>\n Members of a Sci-Fi Club play baseball, only to get some pictures of themselves playing it. They don’t actually read sci-fi, of course. It’s really hot but an accident causes Coke to spill on the remote for their air conditioner — which can’t be turned on without the remote. When a time machine shows up, they think it’s a prank — but it’s not.<\/p>\n This is a Japanese movie. Science fiction fans with some patience should give it a try.<\/p>\n You might be wondering what’s going on at the beginning but keep watching.<\/p>\n It’s about what happens when you screw things up and then have to fix them.<\/p>\n It’s funny but it’s also very silly. The way the whole group says “ohhhhh” the same way every other minute, and more generally the exaggerated acting style gets a bit tiresome.<\/p>\n Stars Eita Nagayama, Yoshiaki Yoza, and Daijir\u00f4 Kawaoka. Directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro (Bayside Shakedown<\/strong>).
