R is a zombie. He doesn’t remember the rest of his name and he doesn’t remember how the apocalypse happened. But he know that if he eats the brain of a human he will get their memories, and that makes him feel more human. When he eats the brain of Julie’s boyfriend he feels like protecting her instead of eating her. But she’s a human and he’s a zombie, so things might not work out.<\/p>\n
Warm Bodies<\/strong> was released earlier this year. I don’t normally watch zombie movies but I saw the first few minutes of this one a few weeks ago and thought it was very funny.<\/p>\n It turns out it’s a hilarious movie all the way through. Like Lost<\/strong><\/a>, if you expect all your plot questions to be answered you’ll be disappointed. But if you suspend your disbelief the movie delivers on themes of friendship, love, and trying to be better than you are.<\/p>\n The three main actors — Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, and Rob Corddry — do an amazing job at making the world seem real and making us care about them.<\/p>\n The soundtrack is populated by various pop songs.<\/p>\n Nicholas Hoult (About a Boy<\/strong>) plays R and Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four<\/strong>) plays Julie. Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine<\/strong>) plays R’s friend M and John Malkovich (The Great Buck Howard<\/strong><\/a>) plays Julie’s father.<\/p>\n
