The day after he finishes the first draft of his book, Ruby appears in his apartment.<\/p>\n

It’s funny and thoughtful and the two leads (who are partners in real life) make you believe in the magic.<\/p>\n

The playful music is by Nick Urata (Crazy, Stupid, Love.<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Paul Dano (Looper<\/strong><\/a>) plays Calvin. Zoe Kazan (Fracture<\/strong>), who also wrote the movie, plays Ruby. Elliot Gould (Ocean’s Eleven<\/strong>) plays Calvin’s psychiatrist.<\/p>\n

Annette Bening (American Beauty<\/strong>), Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro<\/strong>), Aasif Mandvi (the TV show The Daily Show<\/strong>), and Alia Shawkat (the TV show Arrested Development<\/strong>) are along for the ride.<\/p>\n
