It turns out that some of them already know each other. A year later the four of them are performing together as the Four Horsemen in Las Vegas. They say for their final trick they&#8217;re going to rob a bank &#8212; soon after, money falls from the ceiling and the crowd goes wild.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now You See Me<\/strong> was released earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>I liked some parts of this movie but other parts didn&#8217;t quite do it for me.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other heist movies (<strong>Ocean&#8217;s Eleven<\/strong>, <strong>The Italian Job<\/strong>) I wasn&#8217;t sure who to cheer for in this one.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also a movie where what was really going on is only explained at the end. But unlike <strong>Ocean&#8217;s Eleven<\/strong> and <strong>Ocean&#8217;s Twelve<\/strong>, here I didn&#8217;t find the explanation as satisfying.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to see a better movie about magicians, try <strong>The Prestige<\/strong> or <strong>The Illusionist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The fun music is by Brian Tyler (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/06\/iron-man-3\/\"><strong>Iron Man 3<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Jesse Eisenberg (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2012\/11\/the-social-network\/\"><strong>The Social Network<\/strong><\/a>) plays Daniel and Woody Harrelson (the TV show <strong>Cheers<\/strong>) plays Merritt. Isla Fisher (<strong>Rango<\/strong>) plays Henley and Dave Franco (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/06\/warm-bodies\/\"><strong>Warm Bodies<\/strong><\/a>) plays Jack. These are the Four Horsemen.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Freeman (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/04\/the-magic-of-belle-isle\/\"><strong>The Magic of Belle Isle<\/strong><\/a>) plays Thaddeus &#8212; a former magician who now debunks magicians. Michael Caine (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2012\/07\/the-dark-knight-rises\/\"><strong>The Dark Knight Rises<\/strong><\/a>) plays Arthur &#8212; a wealthy man who&#8217;s invested in the Four Horsemen. Mark Ruffalo (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/01\/the-brothers-bloom\/\"><strong>The Brothers Bloom<\/strong><\/a>) plays Dylan and M\u00e9lanie Laurent (<strong>Beginners<\/strong>) plays Alma &#8212; they are police officers trying to solve the bank robbery.<\/p>\n<p>The movie was directed by Louis Leterrier (<strong>The Incredible Hulk<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>A sequel has been announced.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{4\/5} &#8220;The closer you look the less you see.&#8221; A magician, an escape artist, a mentalist, and a pickpocket from across the country are all invited to New York at a certain date and time &#8212; they all show up.
