Can Gru figure out who stole the PX-41, and can he stop his oldest daughter Margo from hanging out with a boy?

Despicable Me 2 was released earlier this year. It might still be playing in a city near you. It is, of course, a sequel to Despicable Me.

The movie opens with exciting music and an interesting arctic location.

The minions are amusing. Lucy is a great new character — she has about as many gadgets as Batman.

Montages usually aren’t the most interesting part of a movie but the montage where Gru goes around helping people is superb.

There are great characters and funny moments, but also lots of slapstick and silliness. It’s not as good as the first movie, but it’s worth watching if you liked the first one.

The music is by Heitor Pereira with songs by Pharrell Williams — they also worked together on the first movie.
