Sixteen years later she works a lot, eats by herself, and resists meeting her son&#8217;s fianc\u00e9e. She meets Louise, a young woman who&#8217;s crying in a restaurant, and listens to her story. Julia finds herself wanting to help Louise, and eventually she finds herself thinking that this might be her long-lost daughter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Girl in the Park<\/strong> was released in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Sigourney Weaver is always worth watching. Here she plays a woman struggling to come to terms with an unspeakable tragedy.<\/p>\n<p>Can you forgive someone who&#8217;s lied to you? How about twice?<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a good movie &#8212; not a lot of plot, but a focus on the characters.<\/p>\n<p>The gentle music is by Theodore Shapiro (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/12\/the-secret-life-of-walter-mitty\/\"><strong>The Secret Life of Walter Mitty<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Sigourney Weaver (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/06\/aliens\/\"><strong>Aliens<\/strong><\/a>) plays Julia and Kate Bosworth (<strong>Superman Returns<\/strong>) plays Louise. Alessandro Nivola (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/08\/ginger-rosa\/\"><strong>Ginger &amp; Rosa<\/strong><\/a>) plays Julia&#8217;s son and Keri Russell (<strong>Waitress<\/strong>) plays his fianc\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>The movie was directed by David Auburn (writer of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2013\/09\/the-lake-house\/\"><strong>The Lake House<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{4\/5} &#8220;I am happy for you&#8230; Can I go home now?&#8221; Julia&#8217;s daughter disappeared in the park one day.
