Sam, a commander in the Navy Seals, inadvertently sleeps with an admiral’s wife. The admiral finds out and sends him as far away as he can — on a mission to Venezuela. Sam quickly discovers that the people he’s supposed to be working with are\u00a0not the good guys\u00a0— they’re going to blame an attack on their enemies in order to get aid from the US. And they’re going to kill Sam.<\/p>\n
The Fall of Sam Axe<\/strong> is a movie that’s a prequel to the TV show Burn Notice<\/strong><\/a>. It was released in 2011, in between season 4 and season 5.<\/p>\n Like in the episodes of Burn Notice<\/strong>, things go wrong and Sam has to improvise. He’s his usual self, a few years younger. Sam is witty, kind hearted,\u00a0and resourceful.<\/p>\n The scenes set in the present, where he’s telling the story to his superiors, are less interesting than the scenes in Venezuela. There are a few occasions where bad guys are shooting a lot of bullets and not hitting the good guys, but that’s par for the course.<\/p>\n It’s perhaps slightly less realistic than normal in Burn Notice<\/strong> but if you watch the show, you’ll want to watch this one. A few of the characters show up later in season 5.<\/p>\n It’s not extraordinary but it’s a great adventure for fans of Sam Axe.<\/p>\n Bruce Campbell (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs<\/strong><\/a>) plays Sam. Kiele Sanchez (the TV show Lost<\/strong><\/a>) plays Amanda.
