In the near future the world is a dangerous place. Security is in evidence everywhere. When Daisy goes to England to stay with her cousins for the summer, war breaks out. As an American citizen she gets a ticket home — but she decides to stay with her cousins. Then they’re forced to evacuate, and the girls are separated from the boys. How will they find each other again?<\/p>\n
How I Live Now<\/strong> was released in 2013.<\/p>\n You can count on Saoirse Ronan to give a tremendous performance, and she does.<\/p>\n The story is from Daisy’s point of view. We see what happens to her, but we don’t see what happens to the boys or what happens in the larger world.<\/p>\n Some parts are fairly serious.<\/p>\n It’s not really a movie about war. It’s about young love, growing up, and doing what it takes to survive — I liked it a lot.<\/p>\n The gentle music is by Jon Hopkins (Monsters<\/strong>).<\/p>\n Saoirse Ronan (Byzantium<\/strong><\/a>) plays Daisy.<\/p>\n
