{"id":5018,"date":"2014-05-31T22:31:44","date_gmt":"2014-06-01T02:31:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/?p=5018"},"modified":"2014-05-31T22:31:44","modified_gmt":"2014-06-01T02:31:44","slug":"movie-series-that-got-better-after-the-first-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/movie-series-that-got-better-after-the-first-one\/","title":{"rendered":"Movie series that got better after the first one"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Alien<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All of the<strong> Alien<\/strong> movies are worth watching, but the second one (<strong>Aliens<\/strong>, the one with the space marines) is one of the ultimate science fiction action movies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Indiana Jones<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Raiders of the Lost Ark<\/strong> is certainly great the first time you watch it, but the third one (<strong>Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade<\/strong>, the one with Sean Connery as Indy&#8217;s father), is the best one overall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>James Bond<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s been a long time since I&#8217;ve seen most of these movies but <strong>Skyfall<\/strong> is certainly one of the best if not the best.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mission: Impossible<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first one is a great movie, but the third one (the one with Philip Seymour Hoffman as the bad guy) is even better.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Star Trek<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Original Series:<\/strong> The first one isn&#8217;t as bad as some people think but the second one (<strong>The Wrath of Khan<\/strong>)\u00a0is definitely better. My favourite at the moment is <strong>The Undiscovered Country<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Next Generation:<\/strong> <strong>First Contact<\/strong> was definitely an improvement over <strong>Generations<\/strong>, but my favourite at the moment is <strong>Insurrection<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Star Wars<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back<\/strong> is the best one &#8212; more interesting things happen and the characters are more fleshed out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alien All of the Alien movies are worth watching, but the second one (Aliens, the one with the space marines) is one of the ultimate science fiction action movies.
