{"id":5021,"date":"2014-05-31T22:31:58","date_gmt":"2014-06-01T02:31:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/?p=5021"},"modified":"2014-05-31T22:31:58","modified_gmt":"2014-06-01T02:31:58","slug":"movie-series-that-remained-consistent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/movie-series-that-remained-consistent\/","title":{"rendered":"Movie series that remained consistent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m not going to bother with a list of movie series that went downhill &#8212; there are lots of them.<\/p>\n<p>But here&#8217;s a much shorter list &#8212; movie series where the quality of each movie remained consistent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Back to the Future<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>These 3 movies are best watched all in a row to get the full effect &#8212; the same things happen over and over, to comedic effect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Jason Bourne<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>These are some of my favourite action movies. I wasn&#8217;t sure about Matt Damon as an action star but <strong>The Bourne Identity<\/strong> showed he was one. I&#8217;m not including <strong>The Bourne Legacy<\/strong>, which didn&#8217;t\u00a0have Jason Bourne in it\u00a0&#8212; it was great but not quite as good as these ones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Lord of the Rings<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adapting Tolkien&#8217;s books was an extremely difficult task and I don&#8217;t think anyone could have done better than Peter Jackson. All 3 movies are absolutely brilliant &#8212; I&#8217;m not including the <strong>Hobbit<\/strong> movies, which are not as good.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m not going to bother with a list of movie series that went downhill &#8212; there are lots of them.
