Tom Lefroy comes from the city to stay with her family — he has a deserved reputation as a wild man. Jane dislikes him at first but she comes to appreciate his quick wit.<\/p>\n
Becoming Jane<\/strong> was released in 2007. It’s based on a true story.<\/p>\n It has a similar feel to it as Pride and Prejudice<\/strong><\/a>. Which isn’t surprising because the events depicted in this movie (supposedly) inspired the events of that one.<\/p>\n If you’re a fan of Jane Austen, you’ll want to watch this movie — and even if you’re not, watch it anyway.<\/p>\n It’s about love, and struggling against the absurd constraints of your society. It takes place in the late 18th century.<\/p>\n The movie was filmed in Ireland.<\/p>\n The baroque flavoured music by Adrian Johnston (If Only<\/strong>).<\/p>\n Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada<\/strong><\/a>) plays Jane and James McAvoy (X-Men: Days of Future Past<\/strong><\/a>) plays Tom.<\/p>\n Julie Walters (Harry Potter<\/strong>) and James Cromwell (The Artist<\/strong><\/a>) plays Anne’s parents.
