On George’s first day as a file clerk, while out for lunch she gets hit by a piece of space debris. She was only 18 and hadn’t lived much of a life. Now that she’s dead, she becomes a grim reaper. Along with her new friends Rube, Betty, and Mason she takes souls from their bodies — ideally before they die. I liked this quirky show right from the first episode. Despite one or more people dying each episode, it’s very funny. It’s from Bryan Fuller, creator of Wonderfalls<\/strong> and Pushing Daisies<\/strong>. Stars Mandy Patinkin and Rebecca Gayheart. The jazzy theme music is glorious.<\/p>\n
