She was only 18 and hadn’t lived much of a life. Now that she’s dead, she becomes a grim reaper. Along with her new friends Rube, Betty, and Mason she takes souls from their bodies — ideally before they die. I liked this quirky show right from the first episode. Despite one or more people dying each episode, it’s very funny. It’s from Bryan Fuller, creator of Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies. Stars Mandy Patinkin and Rebecca Gayheart. The jazzy theme music is glorious.

I previously reviewed Fuller’s show Pushing Daisies.

{4.5/5} “One desperate attempt after another to find something in common with someone else and then cling. ‘Hey, you have ten fingers, I have ten fingers, let’s be friends.
