But the witch will lift the curse if they find four items by the time of the blue moon — a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, a slipper as pure as gold, and hair as yellow as corn. Coincidentally Jack, Red Riding Hood, and Cinderella are headed into the woods at the same time — and Rapunzel is already there. It didn’t grab me quite as much as I wanted it to, and I’m not sure exactly why. There were certainly many parts I liked — it’s funny and clever, with terrific songs. It’s based on the Broadway show, which I saw decades ago.
