The focus isn&#8217;t on Ender, although he plays a major role. Zeck Morgan is a boy whose religion forbids him to fight &#8212; so even though he goes to the Battle Room regularly he doesn&#8217;t shoot anyone. Dink Meeker is a boy who has decided to be cooperative rather than competitive &#8212; when he sees Ender in action, he knows that he&#8217;s seeing someone special.
