She steals a cable so that she can play &#8212; a game where everyone looks like a rabbit teaches her to fight. Maxine&#8217;s father has a job as a security guard, but his passion is working on a graphic novel. Her father dies on the job &#8212; she decides this is suspicious and investigates along with her two best friends. This movie gives you a nice slice of life look at the near future &#8212; it ends in such a way that a sequel would be worthwhile. It looks very good for a low budget movie.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s written by Jim Munroe, author of <strong>Flyboy Action Figure Comes With Gasmask<\/strong>. I previously reviewed Munroe&#8217;s novel <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/an-opening-act-of-unspeakable-evil\/\"><strong>An Opening Act of Unspeakable Evil<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Directed by Tate Young (the documentary <strong>The Music of Madness<\/strong>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{4\/5} Haphead, released in 2015 Maxine has a temp job at a factory making cables for virtual reality games.
