It doesn&#8217;t make sense until you know the motive. Angie&#8217;s ex-boyfriend Mark is now her new team leader, which she&#8217;s not very happy about. In one case the victim is Stan, a medical examiner who was Betty&#8217;s friend and mentor. In another case an author is poisoned by the person whose book she stole.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a bit of an ongoing storyline. Angie and Mark were partners as police officers and they&#8217;ve been keeping a secret for 10 years.
