Minions<\/strong>, released in 2015<\/p>\n For centuries the minions have served the most despicable person or creature around. After being chased by Napoleon’s army they decide to take a break from the world. Years later Kevin, Bob, and Stuart leave the minion sanctuary to once again search for an evil mastermind to serve. They find one at Villaincon — Scarlett Overkill. All she asks is that they steal the crown of Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n This movie takes place in 1968, before the minions meet Gru — in other words, it’s a prequel to Despicable Me<\/strong>.<\/p>\n It’s not as good as the Despicable Me<\/strong> movies, but if you like those ones you might find this worth watching. There is some genuine humour, mostly in the first half, and there’s also some silliness and slapstick, mostly in the second half.<\/p>\n The minions, like the penguins of Madagascar<\/strong>, are hilarious in their backup roles in the two Despicable Me<\/strong> movies but, as I feared, the makers of the movie weren’t able to think of interesting things for them to do for a whole movie on their own.<\/p>\n
