{"id":7797,"date":"2016-01-17T17:33:04","date_gmt":"2016-01-17T22:33:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/?p=7797"},"modified":"2017-01-03T11:35:24","modified_gmt":"2017-01-03T16:35:24","slug":"star-trek-tng-armageddons-arrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2016\/01\/star-trek-tng-armageddons-arrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Star Trek: TNG &#8212; Armageddon&#8217;s Arrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{4.5\/5} &#8220;There were numerous stories and tall tales shared by senior cadets alleging that the simple matter of naming a new vessel &#8216;Enterprise&#8217; brought with it the jinx of being plagued by all manner of time-based trickery, and that the Federation&#8217;s Department of Temporal Investigations even had a special group, &#8216;Section 1701,&#8217; dedicated to nothing more than dealing with the fallout of these encounters.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Star Trek: The Next Generation &#8212; Armageddon&#8217;s Arrow<\/strong> by Dayton Ward, published in 2015<\/p>\n<p>Captain Picard and the Enterprise are finally back in unexplored territory. They come across a huge ship that was obviously built as a weapon &#8212; and there&#8217;s evidence that it has travelled through time. Since it seems to be dormant, an away team is sent to check it out. They find some life forms in hibernation, and those life forms will want to continue their mission when they wake up.<\/p>\n<p>This is an interesting story featuring Picard, Crusher, Worf, and LaForge.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a welcome entry in the continuing adventures of the USS Enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>The previous book in the story of the 24th century is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2016\/01\/star-trek-the-next-generation-takedown\/\"><strong>Star Trek: The Next Generation \u2014 Takedown<\/strong><\/a>.
