He comes up with a scheme to have some less than savoury characters kidnap his wife. His wife&#8217;s wealthy parents will pay the ransom and Jerry will pocket half of it. When Jerry unexpectedly makes a great deal, he wants to cancel the kidnapping &#8212; but he can&#8217;t get ahold of the kidnappers. Things go downhill from there.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a brilliant movie, although some parts are fairly disturbing. It has perfect actors, characters, and situations. It&#8217;s also very funny.<\/p>\n<p>The Midwestern accents and friendliness of the characters is part of the charm of this movie.<\/p>\n<p>Marge and Norm&#8217;s relationship, unlike all the other relationships in the movie, is delightful.<\/p>\n<p>Stars Frances McDormand, William H. Macy, and Steve Buscemi. Directed by the Coen Brothers (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmswitzer.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/the-man-who-wasnt-there\/\"><strong>The Man Who Wasn&#8217;t There<\/strong><\/a>).
