The program had a Shakespeare theme, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of his death.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Harry Friedman &#8212; Songs from Shakespeare<\/li>\n<li>Stephen Chatman &#8212; Blow, blow thou winter wind*<\/li>\n<li>Ralph Vaughan Williams &#8212; Three Shakespeare Songs<\/li>\n<li>David Archer &#8212; In Sweet Music<\/li>\n<li>Jaakko M\u00e4ntyj\u00e4rvi &#8212; Four Shakespeare Songs<\/li>\n<li>George Shearing &#8212; Songs and Sonnets from Shakespeare*+<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ve indicated with a * the pieces for which Catherine Robertson played the piano. I&#8217;ve indicated with a + the piece for which Greg Prior played the string bass.<\/p>\n<p>Colin Fox, an actor who&#8217;s performed at the Stratford Festival among many other places, read some excerpts from Shakespeare in between a few of the pieces.
