Alien: Resurrection<\/strong>, released in 1997<\/p>\n Once again Ripley wakes up and it’s decades later. This time it’s even more surprising since she was dead. But a military research ship has cloned her from blood samples. They didn’t particularly want her, though — they wanted the alien inside her. Regardless of their precautions, Ripley knows what will happen — they will die.<\/p>\n This is my 2nd favourite Alien<\/strong> movie to rewatch, after Aliens<\/strong><\/a> (most people will say the original Alien<\/strong> is a better movie but I find it a bit boring on rewatch).<\/p>\n Sigourney Weaver is brilliant as always.<\/p>\n The dialogue is hilarious — it was written by Joss Whedon (Dr. Horrible\u2019s Sing-Along Blog<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n The visuals are stunning — and, of course, in some cases gruesome.<\/p>\n I liked it a lot this time. I find that some movies grow on me — Star Trek: The Motion Picture<\/strong>, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier<\/strong>, and Star Trek: Nemesis<\/strong> are other examples of movies that on rewatch I’ll focus on the good parts.<\/p>\n
