Charles lived in a fancy house and Erik lived in a Nazi camp. Charles adopted Raven as a sister — she’s a shapeshifter. Erik is looking for the man in charge of the Nazi camp — he’s intends to kill him, but he has protection. Charles and Erik are thrown together, and when the Cuban Missile Crisis hits, the mutants fight to stop World War III.

This is the start of a 2nd series of X-Men films, which are prequels to the first trilogy. Some of the same characters are here, in their younger days.

Anyone who wants to know how to make a great prequel should study this movie.

This is one of those movies that takes place in the past and even though you know how the historical events ended up it’s still exciting — like Apollo 13.

It’s a terrific movie from start to finish.
