X-Men: Apocalypse<\/strong>, released in 2016<\/p>\n Charles is happily running his school for mutants. Erik is happily married and has a daughter in Poland, living a normal life. When Erik reveals his power to save a coworker, things go badly. When a cult reawakens Apocalypse, the first mutant who ruled Egypt thousands of years ago, he intends to destroy the world — and build a new one that only the worthy will inherit.<\/p>\n The 2nd X-Men<\/strong> trilogy is one of the most consistently great trilogies ever. Of course, it’s not done — there will be another movie.<\/p>\n It’s about friendship, working together, and accepting yourself for who you are.\u00a0 It’s also about fighting and destruction, but at least the fight sequences are interesting with the mutants using their various powers.<\/p>\n As in Days of Future Past<\/strong>, when Quicksilver enters the movie he makes a grand entrance.<\/p>\n The story takes place in 1983 — some characters go see Return of the Jedi<\/strong> in the theatre.<\/p>\n There’s a large cast, but the story does a terrific job of giving each character something interesting to do.<\/p>\n Stars Oscar Isaac, Rose Byrne, Evan Peters, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Directed by Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past<\/strong><\/a>). The music by John Ottman makes lots of use of his theme originally from X2: X-Men United<\/strong> but it’s a great theme.<\/p>\n
