Not a perfect soldier, but a good man.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Captain America: The First Avenger<\/strong>, released in 2011<\/p>\n<p>Steve Rogers wants to fight in World War II because he doesn&#8217;t like bullies. He&#8217;s short, skinny, and has a few other issues such as asthma. But his persistence pays off and he&#8217;s accepted for a special program &#8212; he&#8217;s injected with a miraculous serum that makes him bigger and stronger. He becomes Captain America and heads off to fight the Red Skull.<\/p>\n<p>This is a fitting introduction to this character who is an important part of the Marvel universe &#8212; he&#8217;s shown up in 4 more movies so far.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an exciting movie, and I liked it a lot.<\/p>\n<p>Peggy Carter was a character who was obviously worth exploring more and I&#8217;m glad she got her own series (<strong>Agent Carter<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>The scene at the end of the credits shows Captain America waking up after his long sleep.<\/p>\n<p>Stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, and Hugo Weaving. Directed by Joe Johnston (<strong>October Sky<\/strong>). The theme by Alan Silvestri is fantastic &#8212; the rest of the music is OK.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 2nd time I&#8217;ve watched it.
