Bulworth<\/strong>, released in 1998<\/p>\n Senator Jay Bulworth has had enough — after 3 days of not eating or sleeping he arranges to have himself killed. He also gets himself a life insurance policy of $10 million payable to his daughter. But then he changes his mind — and he’s having trouble reaching the person who’s supposed to kill him. He has an epiphany on the campaign trail — he starts telling the truth.<\/p>\n This is one of my favourite movies. It should be required viewing by political candidates.<\/p>\n It’s both important and hilarious. One of my favourite parts is when Jay starts rapping.<\/p>\n It’s about blacks and whites, rich and poor, politicians and constituents. It’s about having the guts to do what’s right even when everyone around you is saying it’s wrong.<\/p>\n Stars Warren Beatty and Halle Berry. It also features Oliver Platt, Don Cheadle, and Christine Baranski. Directed by Warren Beatty (Reds<\/strong>).
