Mission: Impossible II<\/strong>, released in 2000<\/p>\n Ethan Hunt’s mission is to recover something called Chimera, which he eventually finds out is a deadly virus. It’s been stolen by another IMF agent, Sean Ambrose. One of his team members is Nyah Nordoff-Hall, a professional thief who used to be in a relationship with Ambrose. But in their brief time together Ethan and Nyah have fallen for each other.<\/p>\n Although it has lifelike masks, incredible stunts, and beautiful locations this is the least interesting movie in the series. The story as presented isn’t quite up to par — a different director might have been able to present it better.<\/p>\n I’m not a big fan of the slow motion scenes.<\/p>\n The one thing this movie does have going for it is its exciting action sequences.<\/p>\n If you’re watching this series and you want to watch the great ones, you can safely skip this one (all of the others are great).<\/p>\n Stars Tom Cruise, Thandie Newton, and Anthony Hopkins. Directed by John Woo (Paycheck<\/strong>). The music is by Hans Zimmer — he adds a rock sensibility to the familiar theme.<\/p>\n This is the 2nd time I’ve seen it.<\/p>\n
