It’s from Peter Wehner at The Atlantic. He’s a Republican who saw what Trump was at the beginning.
The fact that it took a pandemic to end the Trump presidency is shocking. Trump is so obviously horrible in every way, the fact that millions of people supported him for so long is unthinkable.
But now that people see that he made this crisis much worse than it could have been — in other words, more of their friends and neighbours will die — I have hope that he will be so destroyed in the polls in November that he will crawl into a hole and never get back out.
