Everybody’s Fine

{4.5/5} “Facing up to the truth ain’t always easy.”

Frank is retired and his wife passed away a few months ago. His four kids were supposed to all visit on a particular weekend but they all cancelled. So he decided to take a trip across the US and visit them all — as a surprise. His son David wasn’t home when he tried to visit him in New York, so he continues on to the next person on his list. David has been arrested for drugs in Mexico — the siblings all know, but they haven’t told Frank.

Everybody’s Fine was released in 2009.

Everybody says they’re fine, but are they really? Frank gets the feeling that there are things going on that people aren’t telling him.

Frank worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He expected them all to do great things.

This is a really good movie — undoubtedly you will find some aspect of it to relate to.

Robert De Niro (The King of Comedy) plays Frank. Drew Barrymore (50 First Dates) plays daughter Rosie, Sam Rockwell (Moon) plays son Robert, and Kate Beckinsale (The Aviator) plays daughter Amy.

The movie was directed by Kirk Jones (Waking Ned Devine).
